Keshi Defends Home Eagles List

Says team capable of winning in Abidjan

Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, has told Complete Spots that he has absolute confidence in the players he invited for the return leg match of the 2014 CAF African Nations Championship qualifier against the Elephants of Cote d'Ivoire in Abidjan.

The former Togo national team handler who made public a list of 24 players for the away match last week said the little addition into the squad will make the 'battle of Abidjan' more achievable.

"We have been working with these players and I can tell you that they are well known to us. So we are confident and believe that these players can win the away match. All we just need to do is to train very well, approach the match with winning attitude and above all, the players need to be focused," says the 2013 AFCON winning coach.

"The match will not be easy which we already know and we are working towards it. But we have to make sure that we have quality players in the team and that is what we have done by calling these set of players. I am sure that they will do their best to win the match."
