Academy to showcase African leadership values

Africa

The Hope Africa Leadership Academy (HALA), a foundation, has expressed willingness to collaborate with top class organisations within and outside Nigeria to promote African leadership values.

This is contained in a statement signed by Miss Ileen Maira, Director of Programme, Hope Africa Foundation, and made available to newsmen in Abuja weekend.

Maira said the collaboration would bring to many homes and countries in Africa, “a firsthand experience and entertainment via a TV reality show.”

According to her, it will identify the missing link in the grooming of leaders.

The director of programme added that it would project the choice of true leaders in sub Saharan Africa and drive the needed development in key sectors of their economy and political leadership.

“The TV programme/Reality Shows promise to be a unique experience in the entertainment business as it focuses on core values, orientation and grooming of youths for leadership anchored on service and development.

“The programme outlay will comprise existing details involved in choosing candidates in an election or top position in organisations and the qualities needed for the position.

“It will also showcase debates and programmes on issues, intrigues and lobbying and campaigns and other social yardsticks behind the scene.”

She stated that past presidents, notable Africans, leaders from foreign countries and political figures, would feature as motivators and resource persons.

According to her, the show will enrich Africa and transform the thinking of its people as well as expand its world view in terms of leadership, values, among others.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the foundation is a pan African organisation aimed at propagating quality leadership and projecting the needed quality for leadership with the view to engendering good governance in Africa.
