The Lazio
midfielder missed out of the squad that represented Nigeria at the
Confederations Cup in Brazil last month,after sustaining an injury in
the FIFA 2014 World Cup qualifier against Namibia in Windhoek.
The former youth international player has since returned to full fitness and has been included in the squad that will face South Africa in an exhibition game at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Durban, next month.
And Keshi who led the Super Eagles to their third Africa Cup of Nations title in South Africa, can’t wait to see the young midfielder feature for his side again.
He declared;”I must confess, it’s good to hear that Onazi is fit after the recent injury setback.We missed him so much at the Confederations Cup in Brazil,but now that he is back we can expect the best from him against South Africa and Malawi”.
