Over unpaid salaries
The minister of Sports and Chairman National Sports Commission NSC, Bolaji Abdullahi yesterday met with the NFF leadership, coaches of the Super Eagles and Flying Eagles over the unpaid salaries of the coaches and the two teams’ recent competitions.
NFF boss Aminu Maigari led a team that included Musa Amadu, Christopher Green and Ahmed Kawu while Keshi, Dan Amokachi and Ike Shorunmu were there for Super Eagles as John Obuh and Aloy Agu represented Flying Eagles.
Although the Sports minister divulged that the meeting was just a routine one meant to review the recently concluded Confederation Cup and U-20 World Cup, but Complete Sports gathered that the main reason was issue of unpaid salaries of the coaches.
”The meeting is not to probe anybody but to be fully review the just concluded Confederation Cup in Brazil and the U-20 World Cup in Turkey. We need to review our performance in these competitions.
