Ajose Takes On America's Lundy In Top Bout




After suffering his first defeat to Argentine Lucas Matthysse via technical knockout last year, Nigeria's Commonwealth light welterweight champion Segun Ajose will be stepping back into the ring once again as he will be taking on American-born Henry Lundy.

The fight which comes up on Friday July 19th 2013, is slated for the Rockingham Park, Salem, New Hampshire, U.S.A.

Lundy is the former North American Boxing Federation (NABF) and North American Boxing Organisation (NABO) light weight champion. And is currently ranked number five in the world among light weights by the World Boxing Council (WBC).

The 29-year-old who began his professional career in 2006 and suffered his first defeat in 2010 to John Molina Junior, has raked up 22 victories, with 11 via knockouts, three defeats and one draw.

On his part, Ajose, an Olympian at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, has a record of 31 victory, no draw and a loss.
